So what do you do on a 70 degree January day?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You can dig in the dirt.
~ barefoot digging ~
Bask in the Sun.
~ Lela catching the Sun in her blonde hair and necklace ~
Sit on the ground and play without fear of getting a cold bottom.
Create a game in the driveway. I drew gray stepping stones, castle, cauldron and several magical objects. The girls had to hop on the stones to collect items for their magic potion, then turn the frog into a prince. They were going to take the prince back to the castle, but decided he was too heavy. :)
~ magical adventure ~
On a warm day like this one, there is also plenty of time to be silly.
~ Lela catching Liv ~
Chalk outlines are so much fun. You can even make yourself a skateboard.
The backyard is good for (L-R) working on that hole, putting on "owl ears" to hear a hawk calling and mixing up a little herbaceous stew.
Touching the Earth, reconnecting with the space were we all live.
~ bare fingers and toes - a special Winter treat ~
Hope you are enjoying this new year, no matter the weather.
Peace,
Carrie
what a wonderful mix of fun in the sun activities. It's very cold (0 degrees centigrade) here, and cloudy, so a warm sunny day seems a long way off for us, but I did enjoy looking at your girls enjoying the good weather and it gave me the chance to daydream and look forward to the times when we'll be able to get out and about in the sunshine.
seventy degrees in January?!! wow! What a good time your little ones are having! Thanks for stopping by my blog. It's nice to meet you!
love,
Bare feet in the dirt with the sun at your back... ahhh a few of my favorite things! We have not seen much of the sun these days but my seed catalogs are keeping me company as I sit by the woodstove : )
So sweet, so lovely. Keeping my fingers crossed we'll get above freezing for some barefooted fun!
