May Catch-up: Gardening!

Our front yard garden is coming along. Now we have 12 tomato plants, 6 cantelopes, 9 cucumbers, compost-gifted pumpkins, 6 squash, 5 lettuces, 6 bell peppers (which won't grow!), 1 hot banana pepper and 1 sweet banana pepper.

Uh-oh! Laurel and especially Liv are going to have to learn this lesson the hard way, just like Lela did. She (Lela) is so excited and protective of the garden.



Sweet banana peppers - this is a picture from a couple weeks ago. We harvested our first two and gave them to Gran and Pop.


We have already feasted on a homegrown salad of red and green romaine and butterhead lettuces.

This wee garden plot is such a gift to us.
